Qualifying Contractor Requests for Paper-Based Roofing Felt
Before quoting a contractor, establish whether the request is for paper-based felt or a different waterproofing system. Matching the purchase requirement early saves time for the distributor, supplier and project team.

Ask where the material sits in the assembly
Request the product schedule, drawing note or existing sample. Is it a separating layer, an underlay request or a specified exposed membrane? Similar-looking rolls can serve different roles.
A request simply stating “waterproofing roll” is not enough to select paper-based felt.
Capture standards and approvals exactly
Copy required standard references, tested properties and approved product names into the enquiry. Do not translate a requested certified grade into a local number based only on weight.
Merily’s paper-based felt offer should be reviewed against its actual documents. If a project requires a different system or a certification not established for the offered product, identify that before pricing.

Quote a defined item, with open questions visible
Once the material family is right, confirm dimensions, roll mass, packing and quantity. Keep unresolved suitability requirements listed for the project’s responsible technical party.
A quick quote that conceals a mismatch is less useful than a clear request for the one missing document.
Put it in your buying record

Questions buyers ask
Can a heavier roll replace a specified membrane?
Not on weight alone. Construction, tested requirements and the assembly must be considered.
Who confirms project suitability?
The responsible project designer or technical party should confirm it against the offered product.
Can Merily quote while details are being clarified?
We can discuss a defined product, but unresolved technical requirements should remain explicit.
