ASTM D226, Grade 350 and Printed Pounds: Avoiding False Equivalence
Grade 350, a printed pound number and ASTM D226 are different references. Keep them separate unless evidence for the exact supplied product establishes the relationship required by the buyer.

Identify the kind of reference
Grade 350 appears in our historical Chinese sample records. A wrapper can carry a pound value or designation. ASTM D226/D226M is a published specification for asphalt-saturated organic felt.
Those facts do not establish a conversion between the references. The official standard’s scope is not proof that a particular supplier’s product complies.
Require the right evidence for a compliance request
If a project names a standard, record the exact designation and applicable requirements. Ask whether the offered product has relevant supporting evidence.
Do not use roll mass, thickness or a similar product photograph as a substitute for compliance documentation.

Keep Merily’s offer accurate
Our paper-based felt is quoted by its offered specification and available documentation. We do not claim ASTM certification or a No.15/No.30 equivalence for the product described here.
If the buyer explicitly requires such a product, identify the gap before issuing a misleading quotation.
Put it in your buying record
| Reference | What it identifies | Not established automatically |
|---|---|---|
| Grade 350 | Historical sample designation | ASTM type equivalence |
| Printed pounds | Label wording or mass statement | Certified product grade |
| Measured kilograms | Mass on a stated basis | Compliance with a standard |
| ASTM D226/D226M | Published specification | Compliance of an untested item |
