Reading a Roofing Felt Specification Sheet as an Import Buyer

A useful roofing felt specification sheet makes the buying fields easy to compare. Read the units and definitions first, then identify any requirement that the table does not establish.

Check dimensions and mass together

Width and length identify nominal coverage. Roll mass adds another buying field, but it must state what is included. Keep tolerance and measurement basis visible.

For example, a 1 m × 20 m item at 18 kg and one at 28 kg are different specified rolls even though their nominal area is the same.

Read packing and logistics as separate fields

Wrapper, end covering and packed dimensions affect the sales unit and loading plan. An approximate container quantity should identify its roll specification and container basis.

Merily’s published specification information supports these commercial discussions. A planning count is not an independent tested product property.

Separate a specification table from tested performance

Not every sales table is a complete technical data sheet. A required strength, thermal, water or vapour property needs appropriate evidence for the exact product.

Use our English specification PDF to identify available roll options, then send any additional technical requirement with your enquiry.

Questions buyers ask

Is the specification sheet a certification?

No. It describes offered fields; certification or compliance needs separate applicable evidence.

Can the same dimensions have different weights?

Yes. Compare the complete specified item.

What if a required property is absent?

Ask for the relevant product evidence rather than inferring it from mass or thickness.
