Building an Annual Roofing Felt Supply Plan

Regular supply becomes easier when purchasing follows a forecast rather than a series of urgent stockouts. An annual roofing felt plan connects expected sales, available storage and realistic shipment windows.

Forecast by sales item, not only total rolls

Separate the short rolls and 20 m formats you actually sell. Record expected demand for each specification and packing version. A single annual roll total can conceal a shortage of the item customers request most.

Use your own sales history and confirmed customer plans. Do not use the supplier’s annual export volume as a forecast for your local market.

Agree review points instead of pretending the year is fixed

A useful plan has regular opportunities to adjust quantities. Identify who can approve a change and how much notice is needed for artwork or specification revisions.

Merily’s normal production planning discussion starts from confirmed product and packing details. One container commonly needs about 10–15 days of production preparation; freight and arrival time are separate.

Link the annual plan to inventory decisions

Translate the annual forecast into practical shipment windows and a warehouse capacity check. Then use a separate reorder-point calculation for day-to-day stock control.

Keep agreed orders distinct from forecasts. An indicative yearly quantity is not automatically a firm order, reserved stock or a guaranteed fixed price.

Questions buyers ask

Does an annual plan fix the price for a year?

Only if expressly agreed. A forecast alone does not establish a price commitment.

How often should the plan be reviewed?

Choose a rhythm that matches your stock cycle and demand changes; record who approves revisions.

Can Merily plan repeat supply?

Send the expected specifications, quantities and shipment windows so we can discuss a workable arrangement.
