Planning Roofing Felt Production and Delivery Lead Times

Production time and arrival time are different promises. Build the import schedule from approved specification to saleable warehouse stock, with each stage shown separately.

Start the clock at a defined confirmation

The roll specification and packing artwork must be settled before a reliable production plan can be discussed. A changed label or weight can change preparation.

For Merily orders, a common planning window is about 10–15 days for one container and about 15 days for two containers after specification and packing confirmation. Confirm the actual schedule in the quotation.

Add shipping and receiving stages

Production readiness is followed by the agreed dispatch, booking and transport arrangements. Sea transit, port processing and inland receiving are not included in the production-day figure.

Ask the forwarder for the route and booking-specific schedule. Do not turn a historical transit time into a current guaranteed arrival.

Plan backwards from the stock requirement

If customers need stock by a date, work backwards through receiving, transport and production. Keep time for approvals and changes.

Review open orders before making urgent replacements. A visible timeline helps distinguish a production issue from a booking or destination delay.

Questions buyers ask

Does 10–15 days mean delivery to my country?

No. It is a common production-planning discussion after confirmation; transport and destination stages are separate.

Can artwork delay the order?

Unapproved or changed artwork can affect preparation, so confirm it early.

Can a two-container order use the same schedule?

Discuss the actual specifications, packing and production plan; do not assume a universal guarantee.
