Cloth-Wrapped or Uncovered Roll Ends: Specify the Packing
Compare roll-end packing options and include the selected arrangement in your asphalt felt sample and order documents.
Merily Waterproofing

Make the roll-end arrangement explicit
Asphalt roofing felt can be supplied with cloth-wrapped or uncovered roll ends. Merily offers these options as part of the packing discussion. Specify which arrangement you want rather than assuming it is included with every paper-wrapped roll.
The selected arrangement should appear in the quotation, sample reference and packing instruction. This makes the finished unit easier to check before shipment and on arrival.
Review the complete packed roll
Look at the paper wrap, ends, core and winding together. The customer receives a complete sales unit, so a change to one element may affect the appearance of the whole roll.
Photographs should show both ends and the label panel. If the packing is intended to match an existing item, provide photos of that item rather than describing the appearance only in a short message.
Use the same basis for cost and mass comparisons
Different packing arrangements can change the finished unit and its gross mass. When comparing quotations, keep the underlying product specification and the packing arrangement consistent.
State separately the required product mass and the expected packed-unit weight basis. This avoids treating a packaging difference as a change in the amount of roofing felt supplied.
Record your choice for the next order
Add the roll-end option to your product code record and approved packing photograph. Include it again when placing a repeat order, particularly if your company sells several similar roll formats.
Tell Merily your preferred roll length and weight, paper wrapping design and roll-end option. We will incorporate these details into the supply proposal and packing confirmation.
