What a Freight Forwarder Needs to Quote a Roofing Felt Shipment
A useful freight quotation starts with a defined cargo. Send the forwarder the same roll count, packed dimensions, mass and route information that your supplier is using.

Describe the consignment clearly
State paper-based asphalt roofing felt in rolls, the proposed quantity and packing arrangement. Provide gross cargo mass and dimensions on a stated basis.
If several specifications are involved, include the item breakdown. A single average roll can conceal meaningful differences in mass or diameter.
Ask for the full quotation scope
Identify origin and destination places, the requested shipment arrangement and any timing requirement. Ask which handling, documentation and local charges are included or excluded.
Freight prices depend on the actual booking and timing. Historical shipment costs are not current quotations.

Reconcile the freight offer with the product offer
Check that the cargo figures match the Merily product quotation and loading plan. If the forwarder requests pallets or additional protection, confirm the revised dimensions, mass and quantity.
Keep product, freight and destination costs visible in your import comparison rather than combining figures with different scopes.
