HDPE Cross-Laminated Film for Self-Adhesive Membranes
Cross-laminated HDPE facing and reinforcement film, with matching or different colours on the two faces. Order the structure, dimensions and A/B face requirements together.

The right material for the right layer.
Cross-laminated HDPE film is used as a facing or reinforcement layer in self-adhesive waterproofing membranes. Film structure, directional properties and the two face colours are part of the order specification.
Where it is used
For the facing or reinforcement layer of self-adhesive waterproofing membranes. Select the grade against membrane requirements and the intended processing conditions.

Specifications & available formats.
| Construction | Cross-laminated HDPE |
|---|---|
| Reference grade | 100 ± 5 μm; 960 ± 10 mm wide |
| Common thicknesses | 100 / 150 μm |
| Additional listed thickness | 120 μm |
| Common widths | 960 / 980 / 1000 / 1040 mm |
| Same-colour faces | Black/black, blue/blue, green/green, white/white, grey/grey |
| Different-colour faces | Custom A/B face colour combinations |
| Roll format | Specify core, roll length or maximum roll weight and winding direction |
Include the selected specification, quantity and destination in your inquiry. Roll format and packing are confirmed with the quotation.
Technical data for the stated grade.
| Reference grade | 100 μm cross-laminated HDPE |
|---|---|
| Maximum force — MD / TD | 326 / 315 N/50 mm |
| Elongation at break — MD / TD | 303% / 312% |
The listed mechanical values apply to the stated reference grade. Colour alone does not identify a cross-laminated structure.
Make the order fit your production.
Specify both film faces
Give the colour for face A and face B, and identify the membrane-contact face. Same-colour and different-colour constructions can be discussed.
Compare the film structure
A plain HDPE film and a cross-laminated film are not the same structure. Use the mechanical requirements of the membrane to choose.
Keep reference data with its grade
Use the 100 μm values only for that grade. Request the specification for a different thickness rather than scaling strength from the table.
Agree the packing before shipment.
| Typical roll weight | Approx. 150 kg |
|---|---|
| Pallet layout | 6 rolls per pallet |
| Film mass per pallet | Approx. 900 kg: 6 × 150 kg |
| Order details | Confirm core, diameter, winding, end protection and loaded gross weight |
Packing photographs show examples. The final packing list states the roll count, net/gross weight and dimensions for the actual order.
Production lead time
Standard order: approximately 10 days for one 40-ft container order.
Customized specification: approximately 10–15 days.
Confirm the schedule against the final specification and order. Ocean or road transit is separate from production lead time.

| Material-volume reference | Approx. 1.08 m³ per tonne of PE / HDPE; material volume, not packed volume |
|---|---|
| 100 μm | Approx. 10.8 m²/kg |
| 150 μm | Approx. 7.2 m²/kg |
| 100 μm at 960 / 1000 / 1040 mm | Approx. 11.25 / 10.80 / 10.38 linear m/kg |
| Calculation | Area (m²/kg) = 1080 ÷ thickness (μm); length/kg = area ÷ width (m) |
Yield is a theoretical material reference. Cross-laminated mechanical properties remain specific to the tested grade; a similar yield does not establish equivalent strength. Core, coating and packing are additional.

Questions about HDPE Cross-Laminated Film.
Is the material PE or HDPE?
This product is cross-laminated high-density polyethylene, so the specific name is HDPE Cross-Laminated Film.
Can the two faces have different colours?
Yes. Specify face A and face B separately. Same-colour options include black, blue, green, white and grey on both faces.
Do the same properties apply to every thickness?
No. The mechanical table corresponds to the stated 100 μm reference grade. Other gauges require their own agreed specification.
