Specify Composite Base Mat Heat-Stability Evaluation for Your Process
Ask for a heat-stability evaluation that represents your membrane process. The temperature, exposure and acceptance criterion matter more than a general claim that a reinforcement is heat resistant.

Define the exposure you need to evaluate
Describe the relevant process stage and the conditions your technical team requires for assessment. Keep temperature and duration together, with the sample condition and measurement direction.
Merily’s compound-base-mat grade table does not supply a universal thermal-shrinkage limit for every construction. Do not copy the polyester table’s limits into a composite-mat purchase specification.
Separate dimensional and structural observations
Record dimensional change using the agreed measurement basis. If the evaluation also includes appearance, bonding or handling after exposure, list those as separate observations.
A sample that looks unchanged is not a numerical dimensional result. Conversely, a dimensional measurement alone does not describe every aspect of a bonded reinforcement after processing.

| Field | Specify |
|---|---|
| Material | Construction, grade and sample identity |
| Exposure | Temperature, time and relevant process condition |
| Measurement | Direction and dimensional basis |
| Other observations | Bonding, appearance or handling as applicable |
| Acceptance | Your agreed criterion and method |
| Comparison | Same conditions for reference and candidate |

Use the actual construction
Identify standard or Leno construction, grade, width and sample origin. Keep candidate samples separate from your approved production reference.
Run the comparison under the same defined conditions. If the method or exposure changes, preserve that difference instead of ranking results as though they were measured identically.
Turn the result into an order requirement
Agree the relevant acceptance criterion before using the evaluation to release a purchase. Identify who approves the material for the intended membrane construction.
Send Merily the selected grade and your evaluation requirements with the quantity and destination. This focuses the discussion on the heat exposure your process actually needs.
Questions for This Purchase
Can polyester thermal limits be assigned to compound mat?
No. Confirm the requirement for the actual composite construction.
Is appearance a shrinkage measurement?
No. Record dimensional measurements separately.
What should accompany a sample request?
The selected grade and the exposure and acceptance conditions needed for your evaluation.
Send your specification.

Tell us what you produce, the material you need and your required roll format. Include the quantity and destination port so we can prepare the product and packing details together.
Useful details: thickness or basis weight, width, roll length or weight, core, quantity and application. For release film, add coated side and release requirements.
Standard production: approximately 10 days for one 40-ft container order. Customized specifications: approximately 10–15 days. Confirm the schedule with the final order.
