Specify HDPE Surface Film for the Actual Bituminous Membrane Facing
For HDPE surface film, identify the facing duty first. Merily lists common 100/150 μm facing formats and a separate 50 μm wrapping option. The same polymer description should not hide different production and finished-product requirements.

Place the material in the membrane
State whether the film is used on an SBS bituminous membrane or a self-adhesive membrane, and describe the intended construction. Identify the face in contact with the next layer and the handling or exposure requirement relevant to your product.
A removable PE/PET release liner is a different product family. Keep that distinction in the request, even if several films are purchased for the same membrane line. The quotation should identify the actual supplied material, not a generic “waterproofing film”.
Select a gauge and width as one configuration
The listed HDPE options include 50 μm and a 65–250 μm range. Common facing gauges are 100/150 μm, and common widths are 960/980/1000/1040 mm. Confirm the selected combination and any required tolerances in the offer.
If a different width is requested, include it with the actual duty and quantity. An available product range is not a guarantee that every combination is supplied under the same technical requirement or production schedule.

| Specify | Reference or confirmation |
|---|---|
| Duty | Facing for SBS or self-adhesive membrane |
| Common gauges | 100/150 μm |
| Common widths | 960/980/1000/1040 mm |
| Performance | Selected grade and intended construction |
| Roll | Core, winding, length or weight |
| Packing | Actual roll count, net / gross weight and dimensions |

Define the performance requirement for the selected construction
Where a grade is evaluated instead of a cross-laminated facing, compare the actual mechanical and process requirements. The ordinary HDPE product must not inherit the cross-laminated reference values simply because the gauge is the same.
Keep the sample identity and evaluation conditions with the comparison. If an intended exposure or other property is important, request the relevant grade information explicitly rather than turning a photograph or colour into a performance claim.
Finish with roll and packing details
Include core, winding, length or maximum roll weight and any diameter limit. A typical facing-film packing reference is about 150 kg per roll, with 6 rolls around 900 kg of film per pallet, subject to the actual order format.
Send Merily the membrane construction, gauge, width, required properties and quantity. Add the destination so the quotation can connect a suitable material discussion with the actual roll and shipment.
Questions for This Purchase
Is 50 μm the same facing grade as 100 or 150 μm?
The 50 μm option is commonly discussed for wrapping finished rolls; specify the actual duty and selected grade.
Can I copy cross-laminated film strength into an HDPE surface-film order?
No. Use the requirements applicable to the actual offered construction.
Can HDPE facing be supplied for self-adhesive membranes?
State the actual membrane construction and evaluate the selected facing grade for that application.

Useful details: thickness or basis weight, width, roll length or weight, core, quantity and application. For release film, add coated side and release requirements.
Standard production: approximately 10 days for one 40-ft container order. Customized specifications: approximately 10–15 days. Confirm the schedule with the final order.
