Clarify Binder-Content Requirements in a Polyester Reinforcement Inquiry
If binder content is important to your specification, name the quantity and test basis explicitly. A basis-weight value or a generic polyester description does not state a binder-content percentage for the offered material.

Keep construction information specific
Polyester nonwovens can be produced with different bonding systems and constructions. For a purchase comparison, ask what information applies to the actual offered grade rather than transferring another supplier’s binder description.
Merily’s current published reinforcement table lists the stated mechanical, dimensional and moisture-related requirements. It does not publish one universal binder-content value for every supply grade. Put any required binder specification in the RFQ for confirmation.
Define what the percentage represents
Ask how the requested content is expressed and measured. Retain the reference basis, sample condition, method and unit. A percentage should identify its denominator and the material condition used for the comparison.
Do not equate a process-liquid application figure with a dry finished-material content. Likewise, total mat basis weight does not by itself reveal the proportion of an individual constituent. Keep these quantities in separate fields.
Binder-related request fields
On a phone, swipe the table sideways to see every column.
| Field | Clarify |
|---|---|
| Material | Actual polyester grade and construction |
| Quantity | What the content figure represents |
| Basis | Reference condition and denominator |
| Method | Applicable measurement or reporting basis |
| Document | Specification, general description or batch result |
| Approval | Connection to the sample and membrane trial |

Compare evidence for the same grade
If a document supplies a binder-related value, check the material identity, grade and applicability to the quoted construction. Record whether the information is a specification, a general description or a batch-specific result.
Where the requirement affects your membrane evaluation, retain it with the approved sample reference and relevant process conditions. Do not replace an actual trial with a percentage taken from an unrelated product sheet.
Connect the technical request to supply
Include the selected polyester basis weight, width and roll format with the binder-related requirement. Common widths are 1010/1020 mm, but the actual grade and documentation request should remain identifiable.
Send Merily the existing specification and the precise property or document needed. The quotation can then separate confirmed supply details from additional grade information to be agreed for your order.
Questions for This Purchase
Does basis weight state binder content?
No. It describes total material mass per area, not the proportion of a particular constituent.
Can I copy another product’s binder percentage?
Use information confirmed for the actual offered construction and grade.
What should I include if binder content is mandatory?
The required value or range, measurement basis and documentation needed for the selected material.

Tell us what you produce, the material you need and your required roll format. Include the quantity and destination port so we can prepare the product and packing details together.
Useful details: thickness or basis weight, width, roll length or weight, core, quantity and application. For release film, add coated side and release requirements.
Standard production: approximately 10 days for one 40-ft container order. Customized specifications: approximately 10–15 days. Confirm the schedule with the final order.
