Polyester Mat Moisture Content and Water Resistance: Read Separate Rows
A water-resistance entry is not a moisture-content limit. Keep the two properties separate so a raw reinforcement table is not mistaken for a finished membrane waterproofing claim.

Begin with the published entries
The listed continuous-filament polyester grades show 0.50% moisture content and 95% water resistance. These are separate technical entries, not two descriptions of the same measurement.
The percentage by itself does not identify every detail of a test. Request the applicable definition and method where either property is part of purchase acceptance.
Do not turn a table heading into a new claim
The water-resistance label must not be rewritten as “95% waterproof” or used to claim that uncoated reinforcement is a finished waterproof barrier.
Likewise, the moisture-content entry is not an ambient relative-humidity setting for a warehouse. Material moisture and surrounding air humidity use different measurement definitions.
Keep these meanings separate
On a phone, swipe the table sideways to see every column.
| Entry | Correct use | Avoid |
|---|---|---|
| Moisture content: 0.50% | Grade technical requirement; confirm method | Warehouse humidity instruction |
| Water resistance: 95% | Confirm definition and evaluation basis | “95% waterproof” claim |
| Wrapping condition | Receiving observation with photos | Substitute for laboratory result |
| Finished membrane | Evaluate the complete construction | Raw-mat table as system certification |

Keep the sample condition clear
Record the sample identity, conditioning information and test method applicable to your evaluation. If material is received with visibly damaged wrapping, document that observation separately from measured moisture.
A photograph can show the wrapping condition. It cannot establish the numerical moisture content or the value of an undefined water-resistance test.
State what your quality team needs
Include the grade, required property and method in your inquiry. If your internal specification uses a differently named moisture or water-related test, supply that wording rather than treating it as automatically equivalent.
Merily can discuss the selected reinforcement against your purchasing requirement. Confirm any requested order-specific documentation before the supply is finalized.
Questions for This Purchase
Does 95% mean the mat is a waterproof membrane?
No. Do not reinterpret the raw-material entry that way.
Does 0.50% specify warehouse humidity?
No. Material moisture content and air humidity are different quantities.
What if our specification uses another test name?
Send its definition and method for comparison before accepting equivalence.
