Buying Cross-Laminated HDPE Film for Self-Adhesive Membrane Facings
Specify cross-laminated HDPE as a construction, not just a colour. For a self-adhesive membrane facing, connect the required mechanical performance and two-face colour arrangement to the gauge, width and production roll you order.

Confirm the intended layer
Tell the supplier whether the film is the facing of the membrane or a removable liner over the adhesive. These are different roles. The self-adhesive membrane construction should identify which material remains as a facing and which, if present, is removed during installation.
Merily lists HDPE cross-laminated film separately from PE/PET release film and ordinary HDPE surface film. Keeping those product families separate helps avoid a quotation for the right polymer but the wrong construction.
Use the stated grade for the technical comparison
Common cross-laminated gauges are 100 and 150 μm, with 120 μm also listed. Common widths are 960, 980, 1000 and 1040 mm. The reference grade is 100±5 μm and 960±10 mm wide.
The published 100 μm reference lists maximum force of 326/315 N/50 mm in MD/TD and elongation at break of 303%/312% respectively. These values belong to that stated reference. Do not silently apply them to every thickness, colour configuration or alternative facing material.

| Item | Confirm |
|---|---|
| Construction | Cross-laminated HDPE |
| Common gauges | 100/150 μm;120 μm also listed |
| Common widths | 960/980/1000/1040 mm |
| Colours | Same-colour faces or specified A/B combination |
| Performance | Requirements for the actual grade |
| Roll and pallet | About 150 kg/roll;6 rolls about 900 kg of film, subject to confirmation |

Specify both faces deliberately
Same-colour options include black/black, blue/blue, green/green, white/white and grey/grey. Different-colour A/B face combinations can also be requested. State which face is which in the sample and artwork or order record where relevant.
Colour is not proof of a cross-laminated structure. Use the material description and grade-specific requirements as the purchase identity. A photo is valuable for checking the actual appearance, but it does not replace the construction specification.
Plan handling and shipment with the roll
A typical supply reference is about 150 kg per roll and 6 rolls around 900 kg of film per pallet. Confirm the selected gauge, width, length or weight, core and winding. Gross shipment weight includes the pallet and other packaging.
Send Merily the membrane layer, grade, colour arrangement, required properties and roll format, plus quantity and destination. The quotation can then align the facing material with the production and packing arrangement rather than leaving the details to separate assumptions.
Questions for This Purchase
Does blue film automatically mean cross-laminated HDPE?
No. Confirm the structure and applicable grade data.
Can the 100 μm mechanical values be used for 150 μm without confirmation?
No. Retain the reference grade and request the requirements for the selected offer.
Is cross-laminated film the removable release liner?
Not by that product identity. State the layer function and use the relevant release-film specification when a removable liner is required.

Tell us what you produce, the material you need and your required roll format. Include the quantity and destination port so we can prepare the product and packing details together.
Useful details: thickness or basis weight, width, roll length or weight, core, quantity and application. For release film, add coated side and release requirements.
Standard production: approximately 10 days for one 40-ft container order. Customized specifications: approximately 10–15 days. Confirm the schedule with the final order.
