Specify Intended Exposure Before Selecting HDPE Membrane Facing
Tell the supplier where the facing will be used and what exposure your membrane design requires. Thickness and material name alone do not establish weathering, UV or system performance.

Describe the intended role
Distinguish facing for SBS or self-adhesive membranes from film used to wrap a finished roll. The current HDPE range separates those selection tasks.
Common 100 and 150 μm facing selections are not automatically interchangeable with the 50 μm selected wrapping application. Confirm the grade for the intended use.
Define exposure in the product requirement
State whether the material is exposed during manufacture, storage, installation or intended service, as applicable to your membrane. Identify the evaluation required by your technical specification.
Do not create a UV duration or weathering rating from film colour or thickness. No universal exposure claim follows from the generic HDPE name.

| Field | State |
|---|---|
| Role | Membrane facing or selected wrapping duty |
| Stage | Manufacturing, storage, installation or service |
| Requirement | Applicable property and evaluation |
| Candidate | Actual grade and construction |
| Comparison | Defined reference material if replacing |
| Claim scope | Raw film versus complete membrane |

Evaluate the actual construction
If considering HDPE facing instead of cross-laminated film, assess the selected grade in the intended membrane. A similar density does not establish equal strength or durability.
Keep any test method, conditioning and acceptance criterion with the actual sample. Raw-film information should not be represented as finished-system certification.
Send a complete selection inquiry
Provide thickness, width, intended role and relevant exposure requirements. Include the current approved material specification if you are evaluating a replacement.
Merily can discuss available selections against that requirement. Confirm the offered grade and scope before adding performance wording to your finished product.
Questions for This Purchase
Does black colour establish a UV rating?
No. Confirm the relevant grade and evaluation.
Can density prove equivalence to cross-laminated film?
No. Construction and required performance need assessment.
Does the raw film certify the whole membrane?
No. Evaluate the complete intended product.

Tell us what you produce, the material you need and your required roll format. Include the quantity and destination port so we can prepare the product and packing details together.
Useful details: thickness or basis weight, width, roll length or weight, core, quantity and application. For release film, add coated side and release requirements.
Standard production: approximately 10 days for one 40-ft container order. Customized specifications: approximately 10–15 days. Confirm the schedule with the final order.
