Control Approved Raw-Material Specification Revisions Before Reordering
A repeat product name does not prove an unchanged specification. Keep the approved revision and any agreed change visible so procurement, quality and production order the same material.

Identify the governing version
Keep the selected product construction, grade, dimensions and required properties in an identifiable specification. Attach the approved sample reference where it defines acceptance.
Avoid multiple uncontrolled tables with different values attached to the same purchase. State which revision governs the order.
Record the actual change
Distinguish a roll-format change from a material or performance change. Width, thickness, coating arrangement, reinforcement construction and packing may affect different parts of your evaluation.
Do not assume that unchanged appearance means unchanged material. Equally, do not treat every label-layout revision as a change in technical performance.
Specification revision record
On a phone, swipe the table sideways to see every column.
| Field | Retain |
|---|---|
| Version | Identifier and effective purchase requirement |
| Material | Product, construction and grade |
| Change | Exactly what differs |
| Evaluation | Checks and responsible approval |
| Sample | Reference linked to that version |
| Order | Confirmed quotation and specification match |

Define the reapproval scope
Have the responsible technical team decide which checks apply to the proposed change. Keep the evaluation connected to the material and process affected.
A prior trial approval should retain its scope and conditions. It does not automatically cover every later adhesive, grade or construction change.
Carry the revision into the order
Reference the confirmed version in the RFQ and purchase documents. Resolve any conflict between the quotation, sample and specification before production is confirmed.
Send Merily the current requirement and a clear description of any proposed change. This gives a repeat order a reliable starting point without reopening unrelated decisions.
Questions for This Purchase
Does the same product nickname guarantee the same grade?
No. Keep the actual specification version.
Must every change use identical checks?
Define evaluation according to the affected material and process.
When should conflicting documents be resolved?
Before the order and production requirements are confirmed.
Send your specification.
Get a clear material quote.
Tell us what you produce, the material you need and your required roll format. Include the quantity and destination port so we can prepare the product and packing details together.
Useful details: thickness or basis weight, width, roll length or weight, core, quantity and application. For release film, add coated side and release requirements.
Standard production: approximately 10 days for one 40-ft container order. Customized specifications: approximately 10–15 days. Confirm the schedule with the final order.
