Qualify a Membrane Raw-Material Supplier with Connected Product Evidence
A useful supplier check connects the material, sample, specification and shipment. Ask for evidence that refers to the item you will actually buy, rather than collecting impressive but unrelated photographs and technical tables.

Match the offer to the material function
Identify whether you need a release liner, thin surface film, facing, carrier or reinforcement. A supplier offering several raw-material families should be able to keep those identities clear in the quotation. A silver film roll or a white nonwoven roll is not a complete specification.
Merily’s product range is organised for bituminous membrane manufacturers. PE and PET release films have separate product pages, as do thin PE surface film, polyester reinforcement and composite base mat. Use that product identity as the starting point for document and sample requests.
Check that the documents belong together
The catalogue introduces the range. A grade-specific technical table states requirements for a particular construction or weight. A quotation confirms the proposed order, while a packing list identifies the shipment. These documents have different purposes.
If you require a batch-specific test report, ask about the document for the actual material and order. Do not use an unrelated grade’s certificate as evidence for the offered item. Keep the sample identity and specification revision visible so your technical team can connect its evaluation to the quotation.
A connected supplier-review checklist
On a phone, swipe the table sideways to see every column.
| Check | Look for a clear connection |
|---|---|
| Material | Correct family and actual construction |
| Technical data | The offered grade and stated units |
| Sample | Identity and approval linked to the specification |
| Photographs | Relevant material and visible packing details |
| Quotation | Actual format, quantity and agreed requirements |
| Shipment | Packing list, net/gross weight and schedule |

Use photographs for what they can show
Product and detail photographs can show the actual roll form, wrapping, end protection and visible structure. Packing and loading photographs can support a discussion of the supply arrangement. Choose images relevant to the material being considered rather than treating any machinery photograph as product-specific proof.
At Merily, our raw-material pages use product, packing and shipment photographs to make these details easier to discuss. Confirm the exact order specification and packaging separately. An archive photograph is not a reservation of inventory or a test result for a future delivery.
Make the commercial handover specific
Before placing the order, ask for the selected dimensions, tolerances where required, roll format, quantity, packing and schedule in the offer. Check net and gross weight and actual packed dimensions for freight. Material theoretical volume is not pallet transport volume.
Send us your current specification, target quantity and destination. We can organise the material and packing information into a practical quotation. Standard production is generally planned around 10 days for a large-container raw-material order, with custom requirements around 10–15 days and the actual schedule confirmed after agreement.
Questions for This Purchase
Is a catalogue a substitute for a batch report?
No. They serve different purposes; confirm the documents available for the selected material and order.
Can equipment photographs alone prove the offered grade?
No. Connect the material identity, specification, sample and order documents.
What should I request before freight is quoted?
The actual packing arrangement, net and gross weight, packed dimensions and destination details.

Useful details: thickness or basis weight, width, roll length or weight, core, quantity and application. For release film, add coated side and release requirements.
Standard production: approximately 10 days for one 40-ft container order. Customized specifications: approximately 10–15 days. Confirm the schedule with the final order.
