Request the Right Inspection Documents for Membrane Raw Materials
Specify the document you need and the material it must identify. A catalogue, a grade requirement table and a shipment-specific report serve different purchasing purposes.

Use each document for its purpose
A catalogue introduces available products. A technical requirement table supports grade selection. A quotation and confirmed specification define the selected purchase.
A shipment-specific report, where agreed and available, needs to identify the actual material it covers. A generic table should not be relabelled as that report.
Define the required scope
State the properties, methods, units and sample identity required by your purchasing or quality team. Identify any particular document format or timing needed before confirmation.
Do not assume a certification, third-party test or report exists because a product name appears in a brochure. Request availability and scope for the actual order.
Document request checklist
On a phone, swipe the table sideways to see every column.
| Document | Purchasing purpose |
|---|---|
| Catalogue | Product and supply-range overview |
| Technical requirements | Selected grade’s stated properties |
| Order specification | Confirmed material and format |
| Packing list | Actual shipment quantities and packing |
| Order-specific report | Agreed scope and material identity |
| Revision record | Which version governs the purchase |

Check that numbers refer to the selected grade
Keep product construction and weight or thickness grade with the technical rows. Directional values should retain MD / TD and the stated unit.
For reinforcement, do not transfer short-staple or other-construction performance to continuous-filament polyester. For films, do not apply one reference grade’s values to every thickness.
Retain a consistent document set
Keep the final specification, quotation, packing information and agreed inspection documents connected to the order reference. Record approved revisions rather than keeping contradictory tables in circulation.
Send Merily the documentation requirement with the RFQ. Early confirmation makes it clear what information will accompany the selected supply.
