Define Thin PE Film Winding Requirements Without a Universal Tension Number
For a roll-supply inquiry, describe the winding configuration and handling limits your line needs. Keep a machine tension setting in its process context rather than treating one number as a specification that applies to every film and unwinder.

Define the supplied roll
Include material, gauge, width, core, winding direction and required roll length or weight. Identify any maximum diameter or handling limit. These fields describe the physical supply unit your production team will receive.
Merily thin PE surface film commonly uses 8/12 μm gauges within a 7–15 μm range. A winding requirement should be confirmed for the actual selected configuration, not assumed from another film type or a different roll size.
Keep machine settings with the machine conditions
If your trial record includes tension or other line settings, retain the units, location or control reference, and the conditions under which the setting was used. A number without its equipment context is not a complete comparison.
Your equipment and process team should define the operating settings for the actual trial. This guide does not prescribe a universal setting or suggest that the same displayed number has identical meaning on every line.
Winding and handling record
On a phone, swipe the table sideways to see every column.
| Supply field | Process record |
|---|---|
| Gauge and width | Selected material configuration |
| Core and direction | How the film will be unwound |
| Length or weight | Actual quoted roll format |
| Maximum size | Diameter or handling limit |
| Trials | Equipmentreference, settings and observations |
| Approval | Agreed roll specification revision |

Describe observations in a usable way
Identify where a handling concern first appears and which roll is involved. Keep edge, wrinkle, tracking or other observations separately described. Record what changes between trials rather than assigning every observation to winding tension.
If an alternative roll arrangement is proposed, identify the changed core, size or winding requirement in the offer. Keep the previous and proposed supply formats under clear references so approval applies to a defined configuration.
Complete the quotation with the handling requirement
Add your requested quantity and destination after the technical roll fields. Confirm the packing arrangement and actual net/gross weight separately from the line settings. A loading photograph supports a packing discussion but does not define a tension requirement.
Send Merily the existing roll format and the handling constraint you need to address. We can discuss the supply configuration with the selected film grade while your process team evaluates it on the actual equipment.
Questions for This Purchase
Is one tension value suitable for every thin PE film roll?
Use the actual material, equipment and process requirements; no universal setting is stated here.
Should core size be included in an RFQ?
Yes. Include the core requirement with winding and roll size.
Can packaging weight define a process setting?
No. Keep shipment data and production settings as separate records.

Tell us what you produce, the material you need and your required roll format. Include the quantity and destination port so we can prepare the product and packing details together.
Useful details: thickness or basis weight, width, roll length or weight, core, quantity and application. For release film, add coated side and release requirements.
Standard production: approximately 10 days for one 40-ft container order. Customized specifications: approximately 10–15 days. Confirm the schedule with the final order.
